This open call is for artists, choreographers, dancers, collectives, small publishers, artist-run or otherwise self-organised initiatives based in the Baltic or Nordic countries (except Sweden) who works with a self-publishing practice related to choreography, dance or performance art – henceforth referred to as performative art practices.
We are looking for you who are interested in discussing, experimenting and thinking together with us about expanded self-publishing practices. What is and can a notion of publishing be for the performative art practices of today, and how can we cultivate a publishing discourse for the performative arts together, beyond conventional documentation?
As a PiR resident you will be provided with place and time to work, process, articulate and alter your practice or specific project that relates to publishing within c.off’s discursive environment. During the residency you will have around the clock access to c.off’s small studio which holds a soft floor with a dance carpet, a worktable, our office with printing, editing and technical equipment, our Reading edge library for self-published publications, and access our large studio for a certain amount of time. Together with c.off, we will formulate a public program of 1-4 interventions running throughout your residency, which is of relevance to your project/practice (such as reading groups, conversations, workshops, performances or other formats) and invite a public to take part in a non-hierarchical sharing process.
4 weeks, April 14th-May 12th (the exact dates are negotiable, please state your preferred duration of stay in your application)
C.off’s space is located at Körsbärsvägen 9, close to subway station Tekniska Högskolan, in the outskirts of Stockholm’s city center. Accommodation will be provided on another address in Stockholm.

Travel, accommodation and per diem allowance are provided for up to two persons for the residency, as well as a residency grant of 20 000 SEK.
